(Q)
Is there a setup fee?
(A) No.
(Q)
What is the quality?
(A) We use 14pt glossy paper and
apply a UV high gloss coat for full color sides.
(Q)
What do you mean by 4 color process or CMYK? What is
4/1 or 4/4
(A) Every full color (color
picture or photograph) job that is printed is printed using a four color
process.
Every picture is reproduced using a percentage of the CMYK colors (Cyan ,
Magenta, Yellow, Black). 4/1 refers to Full color on the front and black and
white on the back. 4/4 refers to full color both sides.
(Q)
What file formats do you accept?
(A) We prefer the following file
formats: TIFF, JPEG, PDF or EPS files.
(Q)
How can I submit my digital artwork? Can I e-mail my order?
(A) Files
under 3MB can be emailed to us at sales@rchp.com.
You can also send us a zip disk or a CD along with a complete purchase order
(a PDF of the order forms can also be
downloaded.
Please review
the Submitting Files section for further information.
(Q)
Are there any guidelines that I should follow if I am sending you a zip
disk with the artwork?
(A) Along with your disk, you
should send a hardcopy of your work. If you are sending a QuarkXPress or
Pagemaker file, you should convert all fonts to outlines (or curves). If you
are not sending the file as a JPEG or TIFF, you should include all fonts that
were used for the job.
(Q)
How can I pay for my order?
(A) All orders must be prepaid.
In order for us to process your order promptly, you can pay with a credit
card, a cashiers check or a money order. We also accept company checks if you
provide enough time for the funds to clear.
(Q)
What is a bleed?
(A) It's
when you take an image or background over the crop marks of a document, so
that when it's trimmed after being printed, the color or image goes right to
the edge. If you don't have bleed, then you run the risk of tiny slivers of
white paper showing along your edges - as the printer might crop a 1/16"
out. Usually 1/8" bleed is sufficient.
(Q)
What is a Gang Run?
(A) The Gang runs process allows
us to minimize your costs by grouping together several jobs on the same print
run. This allows us to split all the fixed costs (plate-making, make-ready and
press time) between all jobs that are printed on the gang run therefore saving
you up to hundreds of dollars.
(Q)
How will a gang run effect my
job?
(A) Your promotional piece will
be as accurate a representation possible based on the materials you supply.
However, the gang run process does not allow us to guarantee exact color match
without the purchase of an accredited proof. In addition, actual advertised
sizes may vary by up to 1/8" on all sides.
(Q)
Will I get a proof?
(A) Proofs are available upon
request. We can provide you with a digital proof free of charge. This proof is
intended for layout and spelling purposes only. We cannot match colors to
digital proofs. A hardcopy proof is available for an additional charge. All
hardcopy proofs must be signed and returned before the job will be printed.
(Q)
Can I divide a run of 1,000, 2,500, or 5,000 business cards between 2
different designs?
(A) No. Our
print runs are printed in the specified quantities.
(Q)
What is the turnaround time?
(A) Turnaround
time is 5 to 7 days.
(Q)
How are turnaround times calculated?
(A) Turnaround
times are quoted in working business days.
Turnaround times reflect an average completion time of
normal orders. If your job requires a proof to be approved, the clock starts
after we receive your approval. These times are not guaranteed. Weekends,
holidays and transit times are not included.
